ZKO Skincare Trial Offer Review – Is this a scam?

ZKO Skincare Trial Offer Review – Is this a scam?

ZKO Skincare offers an anti-ageing cream that promises to help promote “younger, healthier looking skin”.

How does this product work, is it truly as effective as you may hope it to be? The following review will uncover the truth.

How does ZKO Skincare work?

There is very little information available on the ZKO Skincare website, however at the very bottom of the website is a link to view the ingredients used.

This list includes the following ingredients:

Purified Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Ceteareth 20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Ceramide3, Ceramide6II, Ceramide1,Phytosphingosine, Cholesterol, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Tocopherol Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Retinol Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), Lactamide MEA, Rosemary Extract, Balm Mint Extract

Many of these ingredients are found in other anti-ageing products so I can certainly see at least some benefit to using this product.

How much does ZKO Skincare cost?

ZKO Skincare is available for trial, but that does not necessarily mean that this is a good offer.

Most trial offers are much more expensive than you may think. Very few are free, even when they state as such.

To find out how much this trial will cost you will need to look through the terms and conditions.

This reveals that once you sign up you will have 14 days to decide if you wish to keep the product, otherwise you will be charged the full purchase price of $94.90.

At the end of the trial period you will also be automatically added to an auto-ship program, so further monthly deliveries and charges will be received.

These will continue until you cancel the subscription to this scheme.

Is ZKO Skincare a scam?

The main issue with this offer is the price. If it were more affordable then I would be more inclined to recommend it, however as things stand my only option is to recommend avoiding it.

There are plenty of more affordable alternatives you could try.

Alternative to ZKO Skincare

Bioxin RegenerativeThe Bioxin Regenerative Anti-Ageing Day Cream (available online from Bauer Nutrition) is our recommended alternative.

This product contains proven anti-ageing ingredients such as the natural Botox alternative Syn-ake that combined with its other ingredients offers the following benefits:

  • A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
  • An increase in skin moisture
  • More collagen produced naturally

This product is not available for trial, so no hidden charges and certainly no auto-shipping to worry about.

  1. The customer service agent I contacted regarding the skin care and eye care products was extremely unhelpful and made no attempt to explain how if I purchased my items on August 14th, my trial ended at midnight on August 27th. That’s 13 days by my count, not 14. I’ve now been charged almost $176 for two products that I tried to cancel ON TIME. I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charges due to the complete lack of assistance or explanation as to how a 14 day trial only lasts until midnight in the 13th night.

    • I just had the same thing happen to me, only my 2 charges were just under $190.00. Was the bank able to get your money back?

      • This is a total scam. To expect anyone to judge a skin care product after 14 days is RIDICULOUS. Also, they will charge you even if the product is not delivered in time for the 14 day trial. Finally, it’s just not that great.

But the skin serum and moisturizer, I called and cancelled 8 days into my trial and was told that ‘ it would be taken care of’;. Called back on 13 the day to confirm my cancellation and was told too late, already sent out. At $89.00 a pop, but an hour after my call to confirm cancel of product, I get . An be email saying product was be successfully sent. This was at midnite of 14 the day. If I contact ZKO will I get a RMA? To return be this? Anyone know?

    • I order the free skin care products and paid for shipping and was billed on 9/22/17. When I received my credit card, I see I was billed on 10/5/17 for $85.95 and $89.95 for skin care product but did not receive additional skin care cream nor did I receive information that I’d be automatically receiving the product for which I may be why I was charged the $175.90 amount but never received any product.

My bank was able to stop payment on the second charges and do not wish to receive or be charged for any additional product.

  4. I, too, did NOT see the fine print. There was no warning email before the trial period was up that my time was expiring. I was charged the full amount for two products. (I only wanted one, but another product popped up when I was ordering and I was unable to delete it. I figured since I was only paying for shipping and handling that I would try it also. BIG MISTAKE!). I did not receive any satisfaction when I called. I have not even tried the products yet (and doubt that I will), but they won’t take them back because of “health concerns” BIG SCAM!!!!!

  5. What was suppose to be a $4.95 sample of ZKO product, actually was the big order of product. I was billed $89.95 plus $4.95 shipping.

  6. This is a SCAM!!! I purchased through an article about facebook founders wife starting this company and Dr. Oz backing the product. There was a picture of the zko anti aging cream for a sample for only $4.95. There was no mention of a trial and needing to cancel or you would be charge for the product or terms and conditions of purchasing. If you click on the picture it links you to a page to be able to “sample” other products and to input your info. On this page as well it did not mention any trial or terms. I got unauthorized charges totalling $362.70. I got the initial samples but nothing else. Customer service will keep repeating I can cancel your subscription but you agreed to the terms. First they said they wouldn’t refund me, then they offered 35% refund on only the initial amounts. I was able to get them to refund the initial amounts after the trial period. But I kept telling them they need to refund the other charges as I never recieved anything else. I got redirected to a supervisor and she was rude and kept stating you agreed to the terms and refusing to refund the rest and ended hanging up on me. They are very tricky to find on the internet, since a lot of times you get redirected to some other product. The only way to contact them is via phone. If you google zko skincare they don’t pop up on the search unless you type their adddress directly on the address bar. But I was able to find one of their terms and conditions which they violate making their terms voidable. I hope someone can make a class action lawsuit against them, this company has probably been scamming people for a while and made millions! I’m stilll trying to get my money back from the bank! Do not buy! The only reason I callled them was because the bank said I needed to speak with the company first before they are able to file a dispute. Otherwise I didn’t want to speak to a company that I believe was fraud.

    • I called a phone number from the TV ad and got both a eye cream and face cream. Nothing was ever said about this 15 day thing nor was it on the TV. got charged a 89.95 and 85.95 plus the 5.95 and 4.95 SH. This is just a really big scam – I did finally get them to cancel my order by using the phone number 1-888-570-4675. Took about 2 hours – and I never did get my money back. I am going to call my bank in the morning – never knew that they could help me. DO NOT EVER, EVER ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!! They do this with several different personalities. Bottles are just the same but with different labels. SL on Oct 6 is right – someone needs to do a class action suit against this company. They are really taking unfair advantage of people.

    • I agree with all the reviews that are already posted. I purchased through Facebook the free trial on 12/29/2017 – no term and condition were posted as well as the “14 days trial”. At the time of the purchase, I was charged only for the shipping. I received the product on 01/02/2018. On 01/10/2018 I was charged on my CC an additional $ 85.95. I declined the charge with my CC company but was told that I had to call the ZKO directly to cancel the order. I would never have purchased this product knowing that I only had 14 days from the day of the order to test and cancel. When I called the ZKO customer service, they were rude and wanted to settle on the charge of $ 89.95. The service rep told me that I could not cancel the service without settling the $85.95 charge first, that I would have to pay it before canceling. BE AWARE, this is a SCAM

  8. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!! ZKO eye cream and anti aging serum irritated my skin. The company is allegedly based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. The 14 day trial period really equated to 9 days as it took 5 days before I received the product. When I ordered the anti aging cream free trial, the eye serum “magically” popped up into the sale, basically making the balance due $175.90 after the “14” day trial period. It is shocking that any trade comission would allow this type of business to operate. I spoke with Charise who was EXTREMELY unhelpful and defensive! The conversatio started by Charise stating that I “agreed” ?!? to the terms. I disputed the terms with the shortened trial period and skin irritation, and insisted on speaking to a supervisor. She insisted that she was a representative and would help if I would calm down. I insisted, again, on speaking with a supervisor. She put me on hold and came back to say they would refund 50% of my purchase. I said that I deserved a full refund and would not accept anything less. She gave me 2 sets of 9 digit numbers beginning with a C, as reference #’s. She then reported that I would receive the refund within 3-5 business days. We’ll see!!

    • Please let me know. They only gave me half off the charges as well which exceeded $165.00 They did me exactly same as you. I am trying to get all of my money back because I paid money up front for the trial basis then they charges for all and refused to give me my money back when I canceled in 11 days, well within the 14 days

  9. I ordered the ZKO skincare samples on October 3, 2017. Today is October 9, 2017 and I am formally requesting that you CANCEL ANY and all further shipments, and products and do not charge me any further amounts. I do not give you authorization to add any further charges on my card. Am cancelling well within the 14 day trial period you state in your advertisement. Please reply with your confirmation that you have cancelled this as requested today.

  10. This product is a joke-all they are trying to do is rip people off. I talked with several so called custom service reps and managers (Keesha, Fellsha and a couple others) some just hung up and the others keeps putting me on hold – offered to reinstate my order and they would send me a comp order – DON’T THINK SO – I would just be in a bigger mess. Sorry I just keep thing of other things to say-they have just made me so mad. They tad me to e-mail this e-map to file a complaint – CS@ZKOskincare.com It brings me up to the site a they say this a just a review.

  11. I called after additional charges to my account. I called and canceled within 11 days of trial. However they charged me even when I cancel during the trial period. I am trying to get the charges removed. I am looking into ways to prevent this company from these practices.

  12. To start with Joel Olsteen & wife made a comercial about product & then was sent info scam on computer for free trial sample with 4.95 shipping. Once my card was given for shipment, I was sent a package with two separate containers, then charged my card another 5.95, 85.95 & 89.95 without my approval. This is a scam right is right & wrong is wrong. who will stop this from happening to others ?

  15. Yes it is a scam. You do not see any thing about being charge the full amount if you do not cancel after fourteen days. This is a product that was created by Victoria Osteen, Pastor Joel Osteen wife of Lakewood Church in Texas. If she is the creator of this cream I am contacting their headquarters and report what this company is doing. The cream does not work!!

  17. Thank you for providing a cancellation number for ZKO. Like everyone else I was very surprised when I noticed the two charges for $89.95 on my bank statement. I called immediately and attempted to cancel and was talked into keeping the monthly for 75% off.
After receiving 3 more months at the discounted rate, I constantly had that nagging feeling of being duped. So today,I canceled and won’t fall victim to that again.

  27. Total scam…… it is set up so that you will be charged $175 2 weeks after you click “send free trial” – which is NOT free – they charge you shipping and handling per item and then automatically charge you $175.90 (!) 14 days after the day you requested the product. So you don’t even have two weeks to try it …. and then when you call, they argue with you that “other people” read the fine print, and love the product and happily continue with monthly shipments. Would not answer when I asked how many angry phone calls like mine they had. I spent 15 minutes arguing with the first person (a third party service), finally got to a supervisor after another 7 minute wait. Offered 35% rebate. I said no. Offered 50% rebate. I said no, and said I would dispute through my bank and be happy to spread the word through the WORLD WIDE web that this company has set up their trial to guarantee all trial recipients would be charged $175.90 before they even had time to know if the product worked! I held my guns and after almost 30 minutes of not giving in, they confirmed they would put through a full refund. I will never recommend this company to anyone, no matter whether the product works or not (it did nothing for me).
