Serafina Deluxe Skincare Review: Is the trial a scam?

Serafina Deluxe Skincare Review: Is the trial a scam?

Serafina is claimed to be a deluxe skincare product that offers a range of benefits. The following review will look at this offer in more detail to discover if these claims are realistic or not.

If you want to fight your own visible signs of ageing you maybe tempted to sign up for this offer, but before you do I would recommend that you keep on reading.

We will uncover the truth behind the hype.

Claims made by Serafina

According to their website, Serafina offers the following benefits:

  • Reverse appearance of wrinkles
  • Enhance skin hydration
  • Counter effects of stress

To check that these claims are accurate I would recommend looking to see what ingredients it contains.

This is the best method you can use to verify the effectiveness, and is an essential part to check that using this anti-ageing face cream wont cause a reaction.

Ingredients found in Serafina

According to their website, Serafina contains the following ingredients:

Purified Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Ceteareth 20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Ceramide3, Ceramide6II, Ceramide1, Phytosphingosine, Cholesterol, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Tocopherol Acetate, Sodium Benzoate, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Retinol Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate), Lactamide MEA, Rosemary Extract, Balm Mint Extract

There is nothing new or exciting about these ingredients. But this is not necessarily a bad thing.

Many of these ingredients are found in leading anti-ageing products, so I can certainly see this product being of at least some benefit.

Price of the Serafina trial

Serafina is available for trial.

When you sign up you will be charged $4.97, which gives you the chance to try the product for 14 days.

Once this trial period has ended, if you have not contacted Serafina to cancel the trial you will be charged the full purchase price of $89.97.

You will also be placed onto an auto-ship program. So further monthly deliveries and charges will be sent to you.

All of this information is available to view in the terms and conditions page, which is why I would always recommend that you take the time to read through this page thoroughly before you order.

Is the Serafina trial offer a scam?

There are good and bad things about this order.

The good is that there is likely some benefit to using this product. However, the bad outweighs the good as the price is incredibly high.

Using auto-shipping is also a major issue that will likely lead to complaints. It is for this reason that I would recommend looking for an alternative.

  1. This product was found through you tube and a video promoting the skin benefits. It will prompt you to buy a sample for 4.95 and state a ONE TIME PAYMENT. Read the above carefully.
upon finding an enormous charge on my card from a differently named company, and calling …they say if you do not cancel in fourteen days the trail becomes FULL PRICE. No where was this evident and going back to try and see where it stated the “TERMS”, you get a different screen and different sites. Mine said ONE TIME PAYMENT of a sample. A Sample was all I was interested in. NAY NOT SO. in short. Don’t do it. These types of scams are typical. Hiding information where you will be charged later if you give up your card number. SCAM SCAM SCAM

    • I believe this to be a scam. I experienced the same thing as the customer who wrote a previous review. I was charged a hugh amount of money for a free trail (only pay for the freight) offer. I tried calling the company after I was emailed an invoice saying that more product was coming my way. No one in customer service was willing to listen to me and they said I was rude. Your only rude because they won’t listen to you, and it seems that they try to brush you off with their script of things to say. The web page I saw also said a one time payment of a sample. I had to call the better business bureau and I had to call the credit card company to have the matter investigated. Don’t be scammed into believing in this product they only want to make a sale and they don’t care if they rip you off. The so called “Free Trail ” will cost you more than the shipping cost. It will cost you the time to report this to the better business bureau and to your credit card company.

    • RUN FAST & FURIOUS FROM THIS OVER MARKETED SAMPLE SCAM. IT IS A TRAP. I ordered a trial that they charged my credit card $4.97. UNKOWN TO ME… 12 days later my credit card had been charged $89.97 under the name CORESKIN*ILLUMINATSKIN LAS VAGAS NV, November 18th I was charged $94.94 on my credit card again WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE , then jar #2 arrived in a brown box trial offer on November 27th , NO INVOICE OR EMAIL SENT AGAIN!!! I received an email at 1:25 a.m. this morning stating that an order had been placed and will ship soon, with $94.94 charged. Searching my credit card statement there it was pending. I called them to cancel this unauthorized auto shipment, she rudely said basically, they are within the boundaries of the law to charge me (I guess the fine print sh#t), so I called my credit card company and filed a formal dispute today. It Worked. Serafina RESPONDED : “The offer you signed up for is a 14 day trial period starting on the day you order, on our FULL 30 day supply. Our products usually ship out within the next business day. If for any reason you have issues receiving the product you can contact our customer service to ask for an extension on the trial.” I thought that was a large “trial” jar when it arrived 5 days later! Thank heavens this is over, I hope. SO BEWARE OF THIS TRIAL MARKETING SCAM. Oh did I mention the stuff burned my face!!. I am, also, deleting my (use to be) favorite show on HGTV, too, just to make me feel better.

  2. Please ” NEVER ” send me any of your products ever again. You have ” NO ‘ right sending your product to me, without first asking me if I want to order more. Your product doesn’t work. I am going to contact my LIFELOCK today, and go to the police department today, and fill out papers on you. ( NEVER ) ( EVER ) SEND OR CHARGE ME FOR ( ANY ) OF YOUR FAKE PRODUCTS AGAIN

    • I had the same experience with Serafina. They NEVER got my permission to charge me full price for the trial products that I ordered, and they NEVER got my permission to order or send me ANYTHING ELSE, other than the free trial. They also, never said that if I don’t answer in 30 days, that they will assume that I want their product. This is the first I ever heard that this S-C-A-M existed, and YES….THIS IS A SCAM!!!! I NEVER SIGNED UP TO CONTINUE RECEIVING THIS STUFF, THAT BY THE WAY, NOT ONLY DOESN’T WORK, BUT GAVE ME ACNE AT THE AGE OF 70. MAJOR RIP-OFF…..I GOT CAUGHT, AND I ONLY WILL GET 1/2 OF MY MONEY BACK, BUT I WILL TELL THE WORLD THAT THIS IS A HORRENDOUS SCAM AND A HALF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Had the same experience ! They do not except returns and sent two more expensive products within 14 days. I contacted my credit card company to refuse the charges. The credit card customer service person said they get a lot of this same problem.
I felt so stupid. Out over $65 for nothing.

  7. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN RIPPED OFF, AND I FEEL VIOLATED. THESE CROOKS ARE HIDEOUS, AND THEY DESERVE TO BR REPRIMANDED FOR SCAMMING INNOCENT(and clueless) PEOPLE, SUCH AS MYSELF. I FINALLY GOT IT CANCELLED, BUT I HAD TO PAY FOR WHAT I NEVER ORDERED, AND AT FULL PRICE. I ONLY ORDERED THE TRIAL, BUT BOY DID I MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!!! I WON’T RECOMMEND THESE FAKERS, AND I will tell all of my friends, to be aware of their antics.

I WAS TOLD ONCE, THAT IF SOMETHING SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE……IT IS!!!!! AND THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM, BECAUSE OF THE WAY THAT THEY CON YOU INTO THINKING THAT THIS WAS JUST A FREE TRIAL….AND THAT WAS ALL!!!! WRONG…….IT SUCKED ME IN, UNKNOWINGLY, AND I THOROUGHLY RESENT THIS TO THE NTH DEGREE!!!! I AM SOOOO ANGRY…..BECAUSE THIS IS MY FIRST SCAM, AND I DID NOT REALIZE IT UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. 9. This is a SCAM. I would never have bought the sample if I had known it was a subscription. I just wanted to see if it would work as advertised. IT DOES NOT WORK! They charged my bank card $185, right before Christmas! I never saw anything about a subscription. RIPOFF!!!

  10. I tried the trial size Serafina skincare. At the 14 day mark I was contacted by my credit card dept. inquiring as to the legitimacy of the purchase and when I told them that no I don’t want anymore of the product sent or billed to me they asked and I agreed to their offer to let the company know emphatically to stop billing and sending any more . They haven’t and now I’m trying to get a hold of someone to STOP this . Scammers like this make it all bad for everyone. They don’t have Customer Service Dept. They have “Customer Abuse reps

  11. This company is a scam!! I was charged for a trail then 2 days later charged $89.97 then another $89.07 then two days later charged $85.97! I called the company and the lady on the other end told me I received the shipment and the trail but I never received anything !!! They had the nerve to keep charging me over and over with in a three day period ! Such rude representatives they don’t give a damn about what you have to say ! I’m calling the Better Bisness Bureau and reporting them! I also put a beware to my friends on FB about this company that takes advantage of people. So pissed that their are company’s out there that are Frauds! Even my credit card company couldn’t believe the charges!

  12. This is one of the most blatant SCAMs I’ve run across & been sucked into. I’m the guy that advises all my friends & customers so you know they buried the “14 day trial becomes subscription” deeply but I somehow missed it.

Just called ‘customer service’; they agreed to cancel and but said since it was shipped it was not returnable & agreed to refund half the price of each. Well half the price is better than no refund. I will still talk to my bank about refuting this charge & will contact my state attorney-general about this company.

  13. I was scammed as well! For Skin Care and Eye Cream. I just received an additional box that I have not opened because I didn’t order anything. I called to complain and was told they do not accept any returns. I told the agent the boxes had not been opened, I never touched the product after I found out it was so absurdly expensive but they would still not take it back. I have never dealt with such a fraudulent company before and I hope anyone thinking of falling for the sample offer will read the reviews of those of us who have already been scammed before they do. I have been charged over two hundred dollars for products I never ordered and they won’t accept any returns!!!!! Something has got to be done to stop these crooks. If anyone has a plan on how to do that, please let me know.

  14. I was scammed by a Serafina pop-up add while using Facebook. My experience with the free trial for just the cost of shipping, $5.97 for the skin cream and $4.97 for the eye serum, turned into two additional charges 2 weeks later for $89.97 and $85.97. NOT FREE!!! All of the above complaints are consistent with how we as consumers have been SCAMMED!!! And notice I said above COMPLAINTS, not a single positive post about this company!!! I am in the process of disputing these charges and I have called Serafina’s customer service twice and my credit card customer service twice. Serafina’s customer service tells me that they cannot reverse charges without a three way call with my credit card dispute representative. My credit card customer service representative has been very helpful making notations about my dispute and is sending the necessary paper work to proceed with my claim by mail. I always pay my credit card bill in full each month to avoid paying interest and was told to pay my statement balance minus the 2 charges by Yam*enrichedskin.com for $89.97 and $85.97 and any interest accrued on these charges will be reversed when the dispute is finalized. I have also filed an on-line complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and urge others to do so, as well so that companies like this can be held ACCOUNTABLE for their DECEPTION!!! Not only has this experience caused me stress and anger, but also the loss of MY VALUABLE TIME!!! I guess the only one positive thing that has come out of my experience is that I have learned NOT to TRUST ad’s promoting FREE TRIAL SAMPLES!!! NOT FREE! Once again, I urge you to report your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission so we can make accountable SCUM companies who operate in this manner!!!
