Oveena Skin Care Review – Is this trial offer a scam?

Oveena Skin Care Review – Is this trial offer a scam?

According to hype Oveena is an “injection-free solution for younger looking skin”. Can you believe its claims? The following review will discover the truth.

We will need to look at the ingredients used, as well as the price of this product, before finally being able to conclude whether it is a scam or not.

Please read on before you are tempted to sign up to the trial.

Claimed benefits of Oveena

Oveena makes a number of claimed benefits, including being “a simple safe answer for beautiful and radiant looking skin”.

The following benefits have also been claimed:

  • Reduce the look of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Improve the texture of skin
  • Reduce in appearance of dark circles

Looking at these claims will surely entice you to sign up for the offer, but I would first suggest that you look for proof that they are accurate.

One of the best ways to do this would be to look at what ingredients have been used.

Ingredients found in Oveena

Despite claims that they use a “scientifically formulated” formula there is no mention of what this formula contains.

How can we prove the claims without this ingredient information? It is impossible.

Not only can we not prove the effectiveness but we are also unable to check whether this product is safe to use either.

Price of Oveena

As you no doubt already know, Oveena is available for trial so you have nothing to lose signing up for it, right?

Well, trial offers rarely work like this. And as indicated in the terms and conditions if you do sign up for this offer you are likely to be shocked to discover just how much it costs.

The T&Cs reveal a $4.95 charge when you first sign up to the offer, which gives you an 18 day window to trial the product.

Once this trial period has ended you will be charged again, this time an astonishing $94.95.

Oveena operates an auto-ship program so failure to cancel the trial means you will be sent further monthly deliveries and a bill for good measure too.

Is Oveena a scam?

With little proof to back up their claims, and its high expense there is little to recommend about this offer.

Claimed benefits are likely tempting, but you should always look for proof before rushing into a decision you may regret.

We would recommend that you give this offer a miss.

Contact information for Oveena

To cancel your trial you will need to contact Oveena using the following contact information:

Alternative anti-ageing skin care offer

Bioxin RegenerativeTo reduce you own visible signs of ageing I would recommend using the Bioxin Regenerative Anti-Ageing Day Cream. This product is available via the Bauer Nutrition website and comes highly recommended.

It contains proven anti-ageing ingredients, for example the Botox alternative Syn-ake, which means that the following benefits are on offer:

  • Fewer wrinkles and fine lines
  • Increased skin moisture
  • An increase of collagen produced

As it is not available for trial, there is no risk of encountering any auto-shipping or hidden charges.

  1. I signed up for the Oveena & Lumaglow “free trial” & thought I was just going to have to pay for the shipping. What they do not tell you is that the 14 days includes the time it takes to have the product shipped to you. I received my product & 8 days later they withdrew $131 (CDN) from my bank account. I called to cancel my subscription to both products (I didn’t notice any changes while using the creams). I expected to be provided an address on which to ship back the remaining product, but instead they try to keep you on subscription at a 50% sale rate & after I refused that, they stated I could “save a trip to the post office & keep the remainder of the bottle for $30 (Cdn)”. They did refund the $131 but then charged me the $30. THIS IS NOT A FREE TRIAL!! Totally felt scammed by this company!

    • I too signed up for Oveena and Lumaglow on a trial and low and behold, got charged full price because I missed the date … such date was in very small print and impossible to find unless you specifically looked for same. Unfortunately, I did not get the offer to get charged $30 – a very nasty representative essentially told me I was stuck. THIS IS NOT A FREE TRIAL! Not only does neither cream work, but every time I open the medicine cabinet, I fee the sting of their elaborate scam! BEWARE!!!

They said no, if we dont get it in 30 days i’ll be billed. i never delt with a company like this.

I CANNOT AFFORD TO BE BILLED ANYTHING EXTRA PERIOD!!😳I WILL TRY CALLING FIRST THING TOMORROW IN THE AM MONDAY TO CANCEL!! I CERTAINLY HOPE THEY DO NOT CHARGE ME FOR IT!! CAN THEY LEGALLY DO THAT?? EVEN IF IT’S WITHIN THE 14 DAY WINDOW?

      • You are not alone. I also, for the first time ordered the Oveenaskincare cream and the Lumaglow a coupled with it. A the charge was minimal I authorized the postage for both. Little did I know that I would be charged $123.16 and $87.47 for both these items if I did not call them within 14 days. This is truly a scam. Right now, I am looking for websites where I may have the charges reversed. The credit card company knows about these scams so they are unable to assist me a they claim the agreement is on the website and I should have read it when I agreed to the purchase. Yes! at this moment it i a very sad, and bad experience. I was in a purchasing mood so I had ordered two other products which also appeared to be free complimentary offers. Thankfully, I was able to cancel those within the
limited period. However, as of this moment Oveena and Lumaglow are not helpful and basically said nothing can be done. I’ll be once again reviewing their guarantee to see what may be done to have my credit card charge reversed.
Good luck everyone. I have learned a valuable and expensive lesson

    • i just got caught in this scam. In October 2017, I did pay for delivery for free trial. Like another complainant I had only ordered Oveena but Lumaglow was added to the delivery.

However I did not ask for auto delivery but the products were delivered at a cost of about $120 CAD each – Oveena and Lumaglow. The Oveena web site stated that auto delivery is offered but I certainly did not this. They proceeded anyway.

I noticed that Amazon.ca carries Oveena so I warned them of this scam.

I’m going to try my credit card company.

  2. I had to send Oveena back after one week. My husband and I broke out in a red rash and it was sore and itchy. Had to get anti-inflammatory meds to hopefully clear it up. I would not recommend it. Plus it is very expensve. Buyer beware!

You can then cancel but you are still billed, Awful experience, BEWARE!!!

  4. Oveena is a rip off! When I went to order I noticed the membership commitment and tried to cancel but it went through. I have called and e-mailed my desire to cancel but they are still charging me! I even spoke to someone who assured me she was canceling my membership but they are still taking money from my account. I am now having to cancel my bank account to stop this madness! I have spent $300.00 on a product that is no better than Oil of Olay! So much time and effort spent on this. Seems to me that their practices should be illegal. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    • Hi Susan!
I’m just reading through all the comments before I tried the free trials and thank God I found all your comments. I’m also curious were you able to get your $$ back? I’m also wondering if better business bureau would be able to do anything. It seems like all products that are offering free trials pull the same kind of scam by charging their customers outrageous amounts and to top it off you can’t get a hold of them.
      Thanks Faith

Ordered the trial for my hubby…..got scared when all the pop up came up when trying to order the trial…..and then the follow up phone call trying to sell more……trial took forever to arrive…..and I got billed 132.47 canadian 6 days after the trial arrived. They will not refund it……and have charged my again for another bottle (all within the period of just over a month) which I have not received and will be returning. Also concerning is that the company as no contact info and supposedly have no phone number…..the contact # is just a 3rd party call centre working for them……..Stay away…..far, far away……also, we don’t think the trial is working for us…..Lot of money for crap lotion.

  7. This a scam and as of now I am out $170.00 because they told me to send it back and I did and they received it and I still have not gotten a refund. The support personnel are patronizing and they tell you what to do and I followed everything to the letter with my order # and RMA #’s and my account number and nothing. I sent it back May 2 in the afternoon and I have since written to the Fulfillment Center because they do not have an address anywhere to contact them directly and I am sending a letter to the Better Business Bureau for their scamming in saying it is a sample and then telling you it is a months supply and you are being charged because you didn’t respond in time. This is a total rip off and being on a fixed income the amount that they charge to my account is outrageous. I am not only out the $170. so far, I also don’t have the remainder of the cream because I believed them when they said if I followed the instructions that they gave me, I would get my full refund.

Because I cancelled the auto pay they refuse me a refund! Offered all kinds of discounts if I keep the Lumaglow that hasn’t been fully charged yet or I can send it back & as long as they get it within 21 days I won’t be charged again! How frustrating! This company is manipulative, unprofessional & downright wrong! They are theives!!!

PLUS you will loose on the exchange rate if you try to get a refund because you were a day late canceling the account according to their calculations. A complete scam.

  16. This company is operating on a system that I don’t like and I am afraid that I may loose my money. When I got one of the orders, I was given a date of two weeks to try. I told them that I was not going to be in the country and it would be impossible to try a new product because, I would be in the sea every day. They extended it to one date and when I called before that date, they said that the date that I was calling was to late. In other words, they had one date written down and they gave me another date. They agreed to reverse the charge because I did not even have the $99.95 US in my charge account. I wanted to send the things back but they seemed a bit hesitant because I had not tried the products. The time was extended again and I called to cancel and they did not want me to mail the products and offered a final charge of $30+ Can. Lo and behold, I go into my visa account and find a bank charge of $29.00 and a 0 account and the bank is saying on my phone that there is no such account. I phoned immediately and ask why the money was removed from my account when it was discussed and they took out $129.93 Can. She said it was a mistake and they are going to return the money within 4 days. I have called my bank and if they do not return the money, the bank wants me to call them in 5 days. Is this some sort of scam? I don’t know. How can one know how a product would work in 2 weeks anyway. Another thing, they do not list anywhere that the product will be sent to you every month for $94.95 US.

  17. I ordered the free trial and it cost me $4.95 each for shipping plus they also charged $39 and something plus $37 and something. I sent the products back 17 days after I received it but my bank statement showed I was also charged $94.96 and $89.41. These were all in the same month. When I called the number I found on the website I too got a call center.

The very rude lady told me I sent the product to the wrong place and the co. didn’t get it. She knew though I had cancelled my order. She claimed she could only give me 75% of the $94.96 and I think 40% of the $89.41.They didn’t even send the products but they sure charged for them. When I asked the lady for a number to the company she claimed they did not have one. She never offered to give me any of the first charges back. It cost be almost $11 to send the FREE samples back.

I can’t find any address for the company to turn them in to the BBB. Like everyone else I agree this is a scam. I, like many of you, saw nowhere that the product would be sent automatically every month. (It’s more like 21 days that they charge you.) Surely there is some way to stop this company and get our money back.

These people are THIEVES!! and very brazen about it.

  26. Fell for this too!!! UGH!!! Did not receive any info on what they meant by “Free Trial”. Saw on TV the scam this really is and checked my VISA statement. Saw that I was charged for what I thought was supposed to be a FREE TRIAL. What a joke!! And I know better…You don’t get much for free!! When I called 855-904-9281 and fought to get all reimbursed and future orders stopped, Ashley, employee # 40990, first offered to give me 50% refund if I wanted it today. Then after I insisted to get ALL the money back, she said to return the product to a Canadian address and pay for the shipping, along with a tracking #, and wait 21 days to start seeing any response from Oveena or Lumaglow. Then after 48 hours I would look for a full refund on VISA. So I’m packing this FREE TRIAL up and returning it to Downsview , Ontario. Then she told me that if I have any more concerns to contact Oveena at 855-904-9281 ( which is where I called her) and to 888-622-8765 if I have a Lumaglow concern. This company and others like it are being reported on on Marketplace on CBC tonight at 8:00PM. WOW!!!!

  28. This is fraud.

Once you receive free samples call company immediately to cancel. Keep all packaging as you may be required to returns the items in their ORIGINAL packaging. Unfortunately you’ll be out of pocket for the shipping costs. And check your credit card statements carefully. If a charge, over than delivery appears, call credit card company to raise a dispute. Further action with the credit card company is a fraud claim should the vendor bill you for other than delivery charges.

Also be aware that the vendor may add several samples even though you only requested a sample of one product. The vendor sent me Oveena and Lumaglow although I only wanted Oveena.

This type of scam is permitted in the US.

  30. I too got sucked into a similar scam. They were using a different name but it was making the same claims and they were using Dr Oz and some other celebrity to make themselves look legit.
As with everyone else I was charged the $ 4.95 and then within a week a charge for over $130 went through my account.
I immediately called my bank, reported it and begged them to not allow any more payments to be taken. They put me through to their special scam department. When I gave the name of the company the guy on the phone didn’t sound the least bit surprised. He said he gets dozens of calls daily and tried to assure me I was not the only sucker out there.
He said they do business under one name for awhile on then they just shut it all down and start up under a different name. He promised to do what he could to get my money back and that it might takes a month or more. As long as they hadn’t shut down their operation the bank could retrieve my money.
A week later the money appeared in my bank account.
I did have to change my bank account and charge card number. I also had them put a hold on any Internet purchases from my account.
Good luck to anyone who has been scammed. I learned my lesson!!!
    BTW, the cream did nothing!!

  33. This is definitely a scam. I did not receive the product but when I saw two charges off my credit card, $114.98 and $122.11 for something that was supposed to be free, I called Oveena. The customer service representative was not only unhelpful but really couldn’t have cared less about my enquiry. The only offering she had was to cancel my account so that I would not have any future billings. What? I didn’t understand what future billings I would have and she said not to worry about it, my account is cancelled. I phoned my credit card company who knew exactly, as soon as he saw these charges, that this is a pseudo-legal scam company. He explained that they would bill me similar amounts monthly, and send more products whether I want them or not if I did not cancel my account with them. My charges are being disputed via my credit card company so I am grateful for that. Please do not engage with Oveena! I cannot attest whether the product is good or not since I did not receive it, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that this company is a scam.

Got sucked in by an ad on Facebook, thought I was getting a free trial while paying for shipping. I checked online about the brand first and it seemed legit… WRONG!

At no point on the site did it say anything about signing up for a “subscription service”, nor was there any information in the email confirmation I received. Today I received a package with the product again with no information about what I was billed telling me I was signed up for a monthly subscription I had no information about.

I called and found out I had been billed once for each product of almost $100 USD per trial item delivered plus the same again for the new products, almost $400 USD!!!

I called again to confirm my cancellation, and the agent said that I will not billed next month. But I’m asking about the product do they sent it because they charged me already?
