Lumidaire Anti-Ageing Face Cream Review – Is the trial a scam?

Lumidaire Anti-Ageing Face Cream Review – Is the trial a scam?

The Lumidaire anti-ageing face cream promises to help you “achieve visibly younger looking skin”.

Now before you rush to sign up for this offer you need to ask yourself whether this product is actually as effective as it is claimed to be.

It is easy to write claims, but less easy to prove them.

That is the purpose of the following review, so if you are tempted by this offer I would suggest that you read on to discover the truth behind the hype.

Claimed benefits of Lumidaire

Their website makes the following claims:

  • Brighten skin’s appearance
  • Restore your radiant, firmer skin
  • Smooth look of stubborn fine lines

While these are undoubtedly impressive you should always look for proof that they are accurate.

The best way to prove the claims is by looking to see what ingredients are present.

Ingredients found in Lumidaire

There is very little ingredient information available. We would prefer to see a label but this is not possible onsite.

What we have got instead is a short blurb explaining that “whole collagen” and a “peptide-rich” formula has been used.

Unfortunately this is not enough information to prove the claimed benefits.

Perhaps Lumidaire is as effective as claimed, but it could also be completely ineffective or even potentially dangerous to use. We just do not know what effect it will have.

True cost of the Lumidaire trial

Lumidaire is available for trial, so you should spend a little time researching the true cost of the product, trial offers are rarely free even when they are stated as such.

To discover the true cost it is worthwhile looking more closely at the terms and conditions, which are usually located in the footer of the website.

The T&Cs of this particular offer state that once you have signed up and paid the shipping fee of $4.95 you have 14 days to decide if you wish to keep the product.

If you do not contact Lumidaire to cancel you will be charged the full purchase price of $89.71.

This wont be the end of the charges then however, as this trial leads onto an auto-ship program that will ship you further monthly packages at full price.

These shipments will continue until you cancel the subscription.

Is the Lumidaire trial offer a scam?

With its high price and lack of ingredient information to back up its claims, there is very little reason to be excited about this offer.

The truth is that there are better and cheaper alternatives available, so why waste your time or money on this offer?

Alternative to Lumidaire

Bioxin RegenerativeOur suggested alternative is the Bioxin Regenerative Anti-Ageing Day Cream, which is available to buy online via the Bauer Nutrition website.

This product comes highly recommended and contains proven anti-ageing ingredients such as the natural Botox alternative Syn-ake, which should provide you with the following benefits:

  • A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
  • Increased skin moisture
  • More collagen produced

You can buy this product without needing to sign up for a trial, which means you wont need to worry about hidden charges or auto-shipments.

  1. My wife tried the “free” sample for $4.95 S/H and added an eye product for $3.95 S/H yesterday. After looking at our VISA charges, after the fact, we were charged $45.60. After calling today to cancel any further shipments we were charged another $75.42 cancellation fee, making the total $120.02. SCAM? I think so. We are disputing all charges above the original $8.90. She didn’t approve any of these charges. The were made without any disclosures are “Terms” agreement.

Also: Be careful . The site where you enter CC info is non-secure.

  2. Yes, these trails are a SCAM!!!!!

I ordered a free trail face cream and eye serum.
Received a very small 0.5 fl oz face cream and 0.5 fl oz eye serum.

2 weeks later I was bill $89.71 for face cream and $89.77 for the eye serum.
I call the company and they said after 14 days if you don’t call to cancel, you are billed for the products and put on a reoccurring shipment.
I read through this before sending off and couldn’t find any info about such a scam.
Also they sent no confirmation email on the order after purchase was made to track shipping or show any transaction.

    • same exact thing happened to me except I only got the teensy little bottle of lumidaire (with its instructions: use one full pump”-in a bottle?) I also when back and couldn’t see the deal (call back) nor the money. Hope I learn with this.

  3. Total scam. We are currently disputing charges to our card. It was supposed to be a one time try without having to cancel anything. Now there is an $89.71charge to our card for lme face cream regen. To top it off they have tried to charge $94.66 several times but the card then picked it up as a scam. The lady with the card company has validated it’s a scam . Insane! Do not fall for this!!

  4. I too have been scammed by these con artists. I ordered the trial for 10.89 and got charged 89.71 and 89.77 and I still have wrinkles and bags under my eyes. And these jerks refuse to refund my money, after telling me last week that I would get a full charge reversal within 48 hours, only to call back today and be told No Refunds, No Way.

Would you like to join me, just keep believing in these cons on the internet. They are despicable people working for despicable companies. Why isn’t there a law the stops this kind unethical nonsense. What is Congress doing about this? Or a private organization.
    Apparently I’m stupid.

  6. This product is a complete scam!!! Not only did I not receive my product but the call center is full of rude, argumentative and unprofessional con-artist people. I was charged not once but T twice in my account for $89.71 and then again for $89.77. I explained over and over again that I have not received the product but the Supervisor Matt M. (only name he would give) actually got extremely rude and mocked me, even said “You should have returned the product within 14 days” MORON!! I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY PRODUCT TO RETURN!!! This is a total scam and the internet says “RISK FREE” Yah, Right! Total scam and extreme disappointment that
“Mrs. Joanna Gaines” would run such a shady company. Total let down. I paid $220.00 for nothing but headaches and extreme rudeness from call center employees.
I LITERALLY HAVE NO PRODUCT! The Supervisor Matt M. explained to me how the US Post Office does not make mistakes and how even if they resent the products it wont change anything, my trial is over and they don’t refund money.
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAMMING COMPANY IT’S ALL A SCAM TO RIP YOU OFF FOR YOUR MONEY! NOTHING BUT CON-ARTISTS RUNNING THIS GENERIC BUSINESS IF YOU CAN EVEN CALL IT A BUSINESS!!!

  7. Yes, I did sign up for this offer and without my authorization was charged after 14 days for the full cost of the face and eye cream for a total of $179.48. I was told that under the terms and conditions on the website it stated that I was to provide feedback in 14 days or pay for the full cost. However, I looked very closely when I signed up for this offer and there were no terms and conditions visible not even in the footer of the website as stated above. So, this is a total scam and I am very upset that I fell for it. I will never sign up for a free trial of anything again. Just ridiculous that companies can get away with this!

  8. This is a total scam. Not only did I not sign up I filled in all necessary info on the computer erased it all out and then I X out of the screen. Then all of a sudden I’m charged $8.45 got a fraud alert from my bank but neglected to dispute it. Now I have a $89.71 charge against my account that I did not authorize. They did not state all of this until after the fact. This is absolutely the worst crooked underminded scamming company. This is a very deceiving practice. Had my debit card cancelled to avoid addl charges.

  9. I started filling out the form for a free trail on the page with Joann Gains on it ,yet when I seen they wanted my credit card number I did not finish it , so then they called me I was unwilling at first to give them the card number to charge the $4.95 shipping and handling , I told the girl on the phone I did not want more charges to my card so I don’t want it she told me there would be no more charges, all they wanted was a reply on how the product work, I asked over and over ” there will be no more charges in the future only the $4.95″ so many times I was feeling kind of dumb like I didn’t get it, and she repeated every time no more charges just the $4.95. , she also never told me about the 14 day thing , she just lied, so today when I was checking my checking account I seen a withdrawal , so I called the first person I talked to told me they don’t make phone calls and I told her she was no being truthful , she said she is customer service and she knows they don’t and as repeated myself she said she was going to send me to her manager , and she did Kristina J came on and said she understood and keep telling me she could only give me back so much and to keep from in going to collection I needed to pay $9.99 and she would conceal something I never sign up for. I asked her how many people told her this was a scam she said beside me only 2 other

  10. They trick you in to paying just under $90. charged a few days later to your CC and also sign you up for a $94 a moth ongoing subscription. IF, IF IF you are able to get to customer service, after an hour and a half wait, oooops, they hang up on you. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

  11. DO NOT do the “free” trial for LUMIDAIRE!! There is tiny – grayed out print – that states that after 14 days you will be automatically enrolled in their ordering system – AND they charge you $89.77 and $89.71 for the two products that you already received! There is NOTHING in the box that comes that says you only have 14 days to respond. I called when I saw the extra charges show up on my credit card. I told them I was going to send the products back -neither had been opened – and that I wanted these charges removed. He stated that the Terms and Conditions did not allow that – and that I had to pay the charges. All Sales are Final. Kept repeating the phrase “Terms and Conditions”. The best he would do for me was credit me back 35% as a “discount”. Time to call the Better Business Bureau!

  12. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER THE FREE TRIAL FOR LUMIDAIRE FACE CREAM. THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU THAT YOU HAVE AGREED TO RECEIVE FUTURE SHIPMENTS FOR $90.00 AND IF YOU DISPUTE THIS WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY, IT WILL BE DENIED. THIS COMPANY IS SNEAKY, IMMORAL AND THE PRODUCT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  13. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS S*C*A*M !!!! I too fell for the “free trial” language. By the end of it all, I was charged over $200 for this crap. Lumidaire is a fraudulent company with terrible customer service and NO RESOLUTION. Never again…..

  14. JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WE WERE TAKEN IN .THE CREAMS WERE SENT OUT WITHOUT ANY TRIAL INFO INSIDE THAT WOULD WARN YOU ABOUT A 14 DAY TRIAL .
AT FIRST THE AGENT SAID WE AGREED TO A 14 DAY TRIAL FOR IT WAS THE ONLY WAY THEY WERE ABLE TO SEND THE PRODUCT . HE GAVE ME THE WEB SITE AND IT HAD A BIG BOX THAT STATED IT WAS A 14 DAY TRIAL AND IF WE DIDN’T CALL WE WOULD BE CHARGED $180.00 .WHILE HE WAS TALKING ,WE SAW ANOTHER AD , THE ONE WE RESPONDED TO , THAT DID NOT MENTION ANY 14 DAY TRIAL . WE STILL REFUSED TO PAY AND WANTED TO RETURN IT . HE SAID HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAKE 50% OFF , AND THEN 75% .
AS HE WAS SCRAMBLING AROUND I NOTICE THAT THERE WAS A “LUMIDAIRE SCAM” SITE . I MENTIONED THIS TO THE AGENT AND HE SAID WE WOULD ONLY HAVE TO PAY A $20.00 RESTOCKING FEE . WE AGAIN REFUSED AND HE DID AWAY WITH ALL CHARGES .
(he didn’t even want his valuable skin products returned )
OUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY SAID THAT THEY RECEIVE TONS OF SCAM DEALS !!!

  15. I am so furious, as above I thought I was getting just a sample but turns out they keep charging your credit card over 80 a month, I’ve been on the phone with my credit card company for over an hour getting this fixed, my next call is to the Better Business Bureau. So furious!

  17. I ordered the lumidaire face cream and eye cream $4.95 an $3.95. I didnt realize till about 10 days later that i had 14 days to cancel or i would be charged full price! So i call an tell them i want to cancel both my trial offers and send them back. They tell me i will be charged a restock fee of $26.00 and i will have to pay shipping! They repeatedly kept trying to get me to buy it for $40.00 even though i told them no several times. Then i tried argueing the fact that nowere did it say i would have to pay a restocking fee or shipping. So needless to say i ended up canceling my debit card they had on file an ordered a new one. They will not get another $ from me!

  18. This is absolutely 100% a scam!!! Do not order these products and think you will get them for free. In the terms and conditions of the product, it states you have only 14 days to call and cancel or you will be charged $89.77 for the product and will be charged that same price every single month until you call and cancel. In addition to being charged $89.77 for the “free” eye serum, I apparently, inadvertently purchased the “free” face cream, which I was charged an additional $89.71 for on the 11th day after my initial purchase.
This is an absolute SCAM!! Don’t do it!!

  19.  This Company is scamming consumers under deceptive practices!! They charged me $188.38 after the $4 sample. I call 877-565-3016/or 13 and advised NO REFUNDS & NO RETURNS! There was NO disclosure stating there would be AUTO SHIPMENTS after the sample was mailed.
They used Joanna Gaines to trick me into thinking this was her skin care. They also use Ivanka Trump and other celebrities to mislead you to order. They refused to give a company address/location and have NO SUPERVISOR to talk to. I’m disputing it with my bank and alerting everyone ONLINE not to be deceived.

  20. I too ordered this free trial offer which you only had to pay $4.95 for shipping. No where was there a statement that read after 14 days you will be charged $89.99 for each piece if you keep it and than they claim that if you do not cancel the order they will continue to send this crap and continue to charge you. This place is a complete scam and we are disputing this with our bank.

  21. Totally a scam. When I ordered on the website there was nothing that stated any terms and conditions. I disputed this with my bank and they did credit my account but today I received a letter from my bank that I authorized this. My bank went back to the company and they sent web pages from their website on the order processing. The page that had the terms and conditions never appeared when I placed my order. It is totally blank with no personal information. They know how to cover up for their lies! I will dispute this again with my bank and show them the numerous complaints about this scam. Please, Do not order this product or you will have nothing but money basically stolen from you and a lot of aggravation trying to right the wrong. I even notified the Federal Trade Commission about this scam apparently that didn’t work either after reading where so many were deceived.

  24. This is such a scam! These people need to be shut down! I ordered the free trial- which I didn’t even know it was a trial! Just got a stupid pop up while on my phone on facebook. I called back to cancel and send product back. They wouldn’t let me send it back with out charging a restocking fee and pay shipping. They make you do the 14 day trial. Then they billed my account $89.77 and $89.71. I called to cancel and she said that was for the cream and serum I’d already received! Wouldn’t off any refunds or still wouldn’t let me send product back. I’m furious they can get away with this. There weren’t any terms and conditions on the pop up windows. $180 for crap! I’m so mad at myself!

LIKE THE OTHER BUYER WAS CONNED WHEN I CHECKED MY ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED EXTRAS I.E EXCHANGE RATE +++++ AND THE PRICE WAS DEARER THAN ADVERTISED. WAS TOLD I COULD NOT SEND IT BACK BUT AFTER A LOT OF ARGUEING TO A FOREIGN OPERATOR WAS GIVEN A RMA NUMBER AND POSTED IT BACK THE SAME DAY I COST TO MYSELF A TOLD £7.80 ALL IN ALL TO POST IT BACK. THIS FREE TRIAL HAS SET ME BACK INCLUDING RETURN £20.12. WENT AND PUT A STOP THROUGH THE BANKS FRAUD DEPT. TO MAKE SURE THEY COULD NOT TAKE ANY FUTHER MONEY.

  26. I didn’t even sign up for this and was billed 4 times for a total of $186.01. The charges were never the same and were over a 2 month period. I called the number listed by the charge and spoke to a nervous sales rep. I told her I looked this company up before calling it and read the Beware Scam flags everywhere. I wanted to know who ordered it, she gave me my name, misspelled, the incorrect email address but did have my correct address. I refuted all charges and had to have my credit card company shut down my account and send me new cards. How do they stay in operation??

  27. I too was scammed! Those of you who know what number to call to get immediate results, please post the number so that I can stop future shipments.

I too only ordered the sample jar of face cream, now today, another jar arrived. I am going to have to pay the postage to return it to them, but I don’t want anymore of their product……which does not work anyway.

    Beware of Lumidaire!

  28. Total scam – do not sign up for the trial or you will end up paying the $200 for garbage product like I did – the customer is always right and we will refund your money is NOT the case here – worst business plan I have ever heard of – Please tell everyone DO NOT try it – I have bought many skin care products and can honestly say this is the worst and it is a rip off to the highest degree I called to cancel and would send the product back and they refused – REFUSED to let me send it back and refund my money – NO ONE does that. All companies, until now, have agreed to refund my money if I send the product back. I am not a dishonest person and would always send it back – even if they took off for shipping, but they refused to refund anything. I can’t believe I was a sucker for this – never ever again!
