Is the Jolique Skincare trial offer a scam? Truth revealed

Is the Jolique Skincare trial offer a scam? Truth revealed

If you want to “achieve visibly younger looking skin” then you maybe tempted by the Jolique Skincare trial offer.

It makes a number of impressive claims, but can this product live up to its own hype?

The following review will look at this offer in more detail, whether its ingredients are up to scratch and whether there are any of those hidden charges present that trial offers like this are well known for.

If you are tempted by this offer then please read on before you go rushing to sign up for this offer and potentially making an expensive mistake.

Claimed benefits of Jolique Skincare

According to the Jolique Skincare website, the following claims will be experienced by those who use this product:

  • Brighten skin’s appearance
  • Restore your radiant, firmer skin
  • Smooth look of stubborn fine lines

Whether these claims are accurate or not remains to be seen. We will need to look at this product in more detail to confirm their accuracy.

Ingredients found in Jolique Skincare

To prove the claims we would need to see what ingredients have been used, which is why we would always look for a product label.

Unfortunately not only is this missing, but there is very little ingredient information available at all.

There is a small mention of “peptides” and “whole collagen molecules” but certainly not enough information to make an informed decision.

Price of the Jolique Skincare trial

To check the price of any trial offer you should read the terms and conditions thoroughly.

These T&Cs state that once signed up to this offer you will be given 14 days to decide if you wish to keep the product.

Failure to contact Jolique Skincare during this trial period means that you will be charged the full purchase price of $89.97.

This wont be the end of the charges either, as this trial leads onto an auto-ship program that will continue to ship you further monthly packages of the product at full price.

Is this trial offer a scam?

With a lack of proof to back up its claims there are certainly doubts in my mind regarding its effectiveness.

The biggest issue with this offer though is the price. Jolique Skincare is very expensive and the hidden auto-shipping will surely lead to complaints.

I would suggest that if you are tempted by an offer in the future that you spend a little time researching every aspect of the offer.

Contact information for Jolique Skincare

To cancel the trial you should use the following contact information:

Phone: 925-822-9813
Email: skin@joliqueskincare.com

If you have signed up to this offer and wish to leave your own review of your experiences then you can do so by completing the comment form found below.

  1. I think the customer service here is ridiculous!
When I signed up I did not have to check mark a box that you normally have to check mark to agree to the terms the terms are at the very bottom of the page and you have to click on in to even open it to read about canceling never did I think it was a subscription I was signing up for so 14 days lager I’m charged $89.97. When I called back I was called unmanageable and hung up on by the “supervisor” needless to say I got no where with thses people and will never give this cream a good review even tho it might work…handle ur customers with care if you want a return in business and be upfront with your terms!! All I got from this is that it really is a SCAM!!!😡😡

    • Omg!!!! I have NEVER in my life been so disrespected by customer service. Rude, heartless women. Every single time. How are these companies getting away with this? They are a joke. I agree, there’s no box to check. When you try to fight it, they try and prove you did have that check mark. It’s a complete scam. Karma

    • In my opinion, they are misleading, when my trail failed to be delivered, I called to check on it. At that time the customer care represented said she would extend the date to the 26th of September, I asked what do you mean by that are they any additional charges and she said no. I also feel that customer service was rude.

  2. This is a crappy company. Their customer service reps. are extremely rude. I did Not see the fine print where it said I HAD TO CANCEL within 14 days. I now find out at 1:28 am on July 3rd I authoraized them to send me a shipment for $91.00! When I tried to cancel I was told I couuldn’t and when I asked for a manager I was told none were available! Which is bs. Then I get an email from them saying they have reduced my bill to $45.00. I just called the BBB and reported it and the lady said they were interested because I wasn’t the first one to do so. This really is a scam. I f this is how Joanna Gaines is running this she sure isn’t wha ahe portrayed her self on television. Be very wary of this company being doing business with them!!

    • I will call the BBB also. When I have a concerned I do not like being scolded like a child. Nice to know the BBB is getting a lot of calls.

  4. I had the exact same experience as the two people above me. What a terrible company. When I found out this was an on going order I was very upset. Never saw this on there website because it’s so well hidden. When I called back to cancel with in the proper time I was told I had to call back on 1 specific date period end of discussion. If you miss that date you are screwed. Seriously!! That really makes me want to buy from this company, not. Well I told them I thought this was illegal and that I was going to check into it and then they cancelled it and waved my “early cancellation fee” . I don’t care what they are selling I’d never buy anything from this company again.

  5. Same thing to me. Paid shipping on two products that said where a free sample. I was just changed 90 for each product!!! I would have never ever spent that much money on face cream.

  6. This is a nightmare!! No one should be allowed
To decline returning a product that has never been opened. This company should be penalized for being fraudulent. There was never any explanation about refusal to cancel and receive a refund! I AM STEAMING!!! I hope the BBB can stop this scam..

    • I’m reporting them tomorrow as well as filing a police report. They have charged me over $220 and stated no other shipments will be sent. So basically they stole my money when I never agreed to any of this crap.

  7. Exact same experience as the reviews above. DO NOT do business with this company. They will take your money and make it VERY difficult to cancel. This is a horrible company. BEWARE!!!

  8. This is a big SCAM. The worlds worst customer service. Do not buy from this company. Product did not work, and they took money out of my account. I order the trail and got scam.

    • They did the same thing to me. Took money almost 200$ from my account twice. Turning them in as well. They have a lot of unhappy costumers. I am also turning them into my bank. Learned never order something till you read the reviews.

  9. Agree with all of the above! This company is a total SCAM! They know they are ripping you off when you can’t even cancel by sending an email to the company….I’m planning on reporting them to the BBB and hopefully they can do something! Don’t buy this product-it’s not even something special and the trial size is a measly .5 ounces.

  10. I am beyond pissed! Woke up to find a $96.00 charge for an auto ship I did not agree to. If there is an auto ship program that’s that expensive they should make damn sure it’s in plain sight if they don’t want to lose any and all business!!

    • Same here….total SCAM company!!!! Working with my bank now to try and get my money back. BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. I am beyond frustrated right now, along with the rest of you ladies. First when I saw an ad for this product with the beloved Joanna Gaines a part of it, I, like many just trusted this was good and legit. So I decided, $5.97 to give it a try is a no brainer, so I place my order for the “trial” and no where did I see any fine print, and after I placed my order there was a pop up window giving me the opportunity to add another trial to my order, I click on the button to look at what the product is, thinking it’d bring me to a product page, not just automatically (frankly not even realizing what had happened) it added it to my cart and placed an entirely 2nd order. I was a bit shocked, but it was also only for $4.97 so I though meh, ok I guess that’s not TOO bad. Then ANOTHER pop up window came up offering me to add yet another trial, thankfully I hit the X in the corner so it closed that otherwise I’d end up with another near $90 charge on my card. From the sounds of it and other’s who have called them, I am likely out the money and hopefully they at least cancel my so called subscription I signed up for. WHAT A JOKE!!! I’m a single mom of 2, just bought a home and have bills to pay, I cannot afford $175 a month subscription for skin care! reporting to the BBB and also calling them out on using Joanna Gaines name illegally!!! There are statements Joanna herself have made warning people that she has no part in that company and not to buy! SO angry right now. Angry with myself as well for not doing my research before so easily handing out my credit card info.

    • Omg. You took the words right out of my mouth. When I file fraud claims with my bank the merchant showed screenshots with those pop ups and prices. Not one time did it show prices. I clicked out as did you and found myself with 4 charges for the trial. Two weeks later, $200 more dollars. I’m furious.

  12. Unbelievable!!! How in the world this company is still allowed to be open??? Huge scam… the customer service is so rude and yes…. I am going to dispute the charges on my card… i am soooooooo mad!!!

    • Girl. Good luck. I tried and what they provide to the bank will make it look like you ordered it. I just went through it and my bank said it wasn’t fraud. I’m devastated as I’m out $220. 🙁
It’s a complete scam. I may ever drive down to Santa Ana.

  13. The above reviews are 100% correct I can’t believe I was so stupid to put my trust on what I thought was a Christian based organization with integrity. I looked for the small print giving disclosure of terms, but found none. Two separate S/H charges , but both arrived in same packaging with zero paper work. One item (eye) was a last minute pop-up, with no information, that automatically placed my order when I just tried to move on. When I called about the charges totaling $187.87 on my credit card statement, I was met with a barrage that over-rode anything iI was trying to say – thought it was a recording. After my literally have to scream for her to “shut up and listen”, I was finally able to speak my issues. These people are banked by so much legalese that they cover all their bases, no matter disclosed or not. They should be put out of business. I was told I would be given a 35% discount, but when confirmed by email, it was only for 1 item.

  14. Ladies! exact same thing happened to me! report them to the BBB and you will get your money back!

    • Chris – How did you get full refund? I got trial. On 15th day saw two $90+ charges on credit card. Called and canceled – didn’t realize I had signed up for subscription. They said they cancelled – but that was only the future charges. I called again when charges went through credit card and they said when I didn’t cancel before 14 day trial I was charged full amount for TRIAL. I continued to complain and they agreed to give me 35% discount. So I am still on the hook for $115. They said when I clicked “I agree” to the terms that in the print was me agreeing to pay if not cancelled within 14 days. She said if I dispute it they will show credit card company correspondence of me agreeing to their terms. SUCH A SCAM. How did you get full credit? Thanks Susan

  16. Everyone please go to the BBB for Santa Ana, CA and file a complaint for false advertising, misleading “free” trial, unethical business practices, etc. I wish the BBB would place an order and see what they experience. This is lesson learned. Jolique exists just out to screw you out of money. Amazing they are able to get away with this. The website never directs you that you have “signed up” or if you didn’t return within 14 days you are purchasing for $90. Why wasn’t something in the “free trial” that clearly stated if you don’t return or contact us within 14 days you will be charged. Very misleading.

  18. I to was screwed!!! ordered free sample and product was sent to my home address and I am in Fl. I saw on my checking account where I was billed 85.97 and 89.97 I called immediately and told them I haven’t even tried the product and asked if I could return it and was told no it was past the 14 day trial period. She told me she would give me a 35% refund and I told her no I wanted to talk to Supervisor I was going to call bank and she said the bank would be told I agreed to the terms and conditions and they would not refund anything. She tried to take me back to the web site but I could not find the same page she had matter of fact I couldn’t even get on any site. Supervisor came on and told me he would give me a 50% refund of 89.97 but had to promise not to call bank. and if I refused his offer the bank would be told I wouldn’t work with them. So yes got some money back but still got screwed!!!!

  19. SAME HERE SUZANNE J. THIS IS UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. THIS COMPANY DEBITED MY ACCT FOR $90.00. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR RIGHT AFTER THE REPRESENTATIVE TERRENCE, TOOK MY COMPLAINT INFORMATION. I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 45 MINS. CONNECTED ME TO A FLOOR SUPV, AMBER, WHO GAVE ME SAME STORY AND COULDNT ASSIST ME AT ALL. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH ANOTHER SUPV. CONNECTED ME WITH BIANCA. SUZANNE,YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT WHEN WE ORDERED THIS TRIAL PRODUCT IT SKIPS TO ANOTHER SCREEN FOR ANOTHER PRODUCT FOR LIKE 4.97 IT ADDS TO THE CART. THEN IT JUMPS TO WHERE YOU CANT EVEN SEE THE TERMS. THIS IS A SCAM, OR MAYBE GIVING THEM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, I SHOULD JUST SAY EXTREMELY MISLEADING THE WAY THEY HAVE THE SITE SET UP, AND THEY KNOW IT!!!WHY CANT THEY JUST BE HONEST, GIVE CUSTOMERS A PRICE FOR THE TRIAL SIZE, AND LET THEM TRY IT AND IF IT DOESNT WORK, WE HAVE THE PRODUCT AND THEY HAVE THEIR MONEY. AND IF IT WORKS AND WE CHOOSE TO ORDER MORE, THEY HAVE GAINED A VALUED CUSTOMER.!! BUT THESE ‘ORDERING TACTICS’ IS CAUSING A DISTASTE FOR THEIR PRACTICES. WELL, JUST GOT OFF PHONE WITH BIANCA, SUPV, WE REACHED SOMEWHAT A SOLUTION. SHE AGREED TO REFUND ME 50% WITHIN 3-5 DAYS. THAT DOESNT HELP WITH BILLS I NEEDED TO PAY NOW. HOPEFULLY MY FUNDS WILL BE IN MY ACCT AND I WILL NOT HAVE TO GIVE THEM A CALL BACK. I DID EXPRESS TO HER THAT THE MARKETING DEPT DEFINITELY NEED TO ADJUST THE WEBSITE ORDERING.THAT IS NOT A WAY TO KEEP A CUSTOMER,THATS A SCAM TO LOSE MANY!!!

  20. Yes! I have had the same experience as the rest of these ladies on this site. At first I thought maybe I am just that dull and did not see the box etc. But after reading these comments I understand they take you to a streamlined order landing page specifically for those who click on the ad. Then they charge you for product you don’t want when you try to click no. This is the second charge. Afterwards they charge you the 90 bucks and refuse to give you your money back. They will also not allow you to return the product. I have cancelled my debit card and I have contested the charge. If they convince my bank it is a legitimate charge my bank will pay it. but I think I want to cancel my bank account to keep that from happening. This company is really a scam and very malicious business practices.

  21. So about year ago I dodged a bullet with another scam company, same deal, free trial sample for eye cream and face cream, just pay shipping fees. I thought I would give it a shot. My Daughter was visiting one day and I showed her what I got. She said Mom it’s a scam. She told me all the things I have been reading from all you Ladies.I was about one week into this 15 day crap. I called my bank and canceled my debit card and got a new acc.#. That was the end of that. Still had to pay the shipping fees, fair enough. Lucked out! Then about 16 days ago. I find charges
on eye cream and face cream with this scam co. I flipped ! My husband tells me he ordered it for me and it is through Jonna Games. I said, she has nothing to do with these scammers. So I called the bank and had his card canceled and issued a new acc.#. Thought that was the end of it again. Not so lucky this time .Today I got hit with 2 charges for 85.97 and 89.97. So I called the bank again .I asked how did they get his new number? I was told that many businesses
have a relationship with Visa, and if you have a reoccurring payment subscription, (You know the one in the so called fine print) then they are given access to your card #. Then why did canceling my card work and his didn’t ? You see there is something called a Visa updater. When my card was canceled, the customer service rep. at the bank turned off the Visa updater on my card. The rep. that canceled my husband’s card did not do that. The bank is set to dispute the chargers, but wanted me to contact Jolique first to show that I tried to resolved the issue. I called and went for the jugular strightaway, anticipating a knockdown drag out fight. Didn’t get that. The rep
was not all warm and fussy but all business for sure. Offered me 35% off then 50% off then free
stuff but I had to stay in contract. I just kept saying, I want my money back. I was able to get the contract canceled and conformation via email with a conformation number, but after everything the rep said and all the things that I have been reading by all the ladies here, I don’t think the bank will be getting me my money back. This is the world we live in today. God help us .

  22. This company should be put out of business. Their business practices are deceptive. They steal honest peoples money. What is the FTC doing about this. They use Joanna Gaines’ name to rope you in. I wonder if she is aware that their using her as a spokes person. They also sell this cream with different pop ups using different names for the creams. Serafina, LeBaleux, Regenere. Buyer beware!

They will not give me any money back. I have lost the money for the two trial offer plus 2 payments of $91.94 and 2 of $94.94,as well as $89. All this money was deducted from my account. They would have kept deducting if I didn’t call to cancel. I didn’t sign up for anything, but she said I did. They use famous people’s name in order to get you. I found out that none of those
celebrities has anything to do with the product! Like some of you said, research before buying. Tomorrow I am reporting them to the BBB.

  27. I agree this is a scam!!! Does anyone know where to report this kind of company? When I order this products I didn’t see the term and condition that they claim. I wonder why this company is still in business. If their products are so great then they should stand on their products and refund the money when the customers are not satisfy.
