Hydroplenage Anti-Ageing Cream trial offer review

Hydroplenage Anti-Ageing Cream trial offer review

Hydroplenage is an anti-ageing cream currently on trial “exclusively to UK residents only”. So what makes this cream so special?

It claims to help you “achieve visibly younger looking skin”, which is a claim we have seen before.

Hydroplenage Anti-Ageing Cream is available for trial, but does this make this offer a good one? In our experience perhaps not, as trial offers such as this often lead onto expensive auto-ship programs.

Please read the following review to discover the truth behind the claims, and perhaps you can avoid making an expensive mistake.

Claimed benefits of Hydroplenage

Using Hydroplenage is claimed to help:

  • Smooth look of stubborn fine lines
  • Restore your radiant, firmer looking skin
  • Brighten skins appearance

To check how accurate these claims are we would certainly need to look at what ingredients have been used by Hydroplenage.

What ingredients are found in Hydroplenage?

Disappointingly Hydroplenage does not have a label available to view, so there is no way of knowing exactly what it contains.

The website does mention the use of Vitamin C, Glycerin and Cucumber Extract, but are there any other ingredients present that could potentially cause harm?

Without a label there is no way to tell if Hydroplenage is as effective as it is claimed to be, or whether using it would be a total waste of time.

How much will this trial cost?

Again, the cost is also not immediately clear.

The website mentions that this is a “risk-free trial”, but do not be confused. This does not mean that the trial will not cost you a penny.

After reading the terms and conditions, the cost of Hydroplenage will become more clear to you.

When you first sign up for the offer you will have a small £3.95 shipping and handling charge, which is understandable. What you may not be expecting is another charge just 14 days later amounting to £89.95.

If you fail to cancel the trial within the allotted trial period you will also be automatically enrolled onto an auto-ship program too, which will ship you another delivery along with a bill for £94.95.

These shipments will continue monthly until your subscription is cancelled.

Is the Hydroplenage trial a scam?

Unfortunately there are a number of serious issues we found with this trial.

Most notably the lack of ingredient information leaves us doubting its rather impressive sounding claims. The high price and use of auto-shipping is another serious issue that should make you reconsider this offer.

Our suggestion would be to avoid most trial offers, they are rarely as good an offer as they first appear. If you are tempted by them, please make sure to do your homework and to read as much about the offer as possible, including the terms and conditions if they are available.

As things stand we cannot recommend Hydroplenage, you would be better off looking for an alternative. Perhaps our suggestion below would be a better suit for you?

        • I was away when trial come. So I went over the cancellation time. I accepted the first payment. I hade a fraud alert from my bank that notified me money taken out again. This was 10 days after other payment. I called the company as I didn’t understand why. I was told it was a monthly contract!!! All I did was accept a trial. The lady cancelled the supposedly contract and said will pay the second payment back in 7 to 10 days. So I wait before my bank intervene. Terrible scam. Good companies send emails to update all transactions.

    • I ordered 2 trial offers for which £3.95 x 2 was deducted from my account. I received the items on Thursday 28th July. On Monday 1st August u took 2 payments of £89.95 from my account. I haven’t even had the products with me for 5 days. How can you justify this when you say it’s a 14 day trial.
I am therefore demanding that you refund me my £89.95 x 2 monies which you fraudulently took from my account.

    • I ordered the “free” trial which I am still yet to receive I checked my bank account today and found a charge of £89.96 had been taken I’ve called them to ask for my money back and they’ve refused as I didn’t cancel within the 14 days! I explained again to them that I hadn’t received the products so how could I cancel but they still refused to refund me, they then had the cheek to ask if I had any comments to make on their customer service!

      customerservice@hhb-marketing.co.uk

They are based in the USA, NOT based in the UK.
Beware you WILL lose your money.
They say the tiny little sample jar IS your 30 days supply & not a sample.
You will more than likely not get any further products, but they will offer you a 20% discount if you do not cancel, Eventually if you persist they will cancel your “Contact”

You, will like me, by then would of lost £93.90, I have requested a refund but I doubt I will get my money back.

If this isn’t Criminal i don’t know what is.

    • I too was conned in August. I got an ad on face book and it appeared as if Oprah Winfrey was recommending this cream. They showed a before and after picture of her. I don’t really go for this sort of thing but did so this time. I paid for a free sample £3.95 postage and packing.
Heard nothing for about 10 days, then my neighbour gave me a parcel which she said had come for me. I was surprised to get full size creams with no details of company whatsoever. I wanted to return this but did not know who to contact. before I could get time to research the company my bank statement came and I saw that £89.85 was taken out twice on the same day and further £1.50 twice a week later.
I was shocked and rang the credit card company. I have filled the Santander card company form twice, with all details in a letter, I printed the comments of all the people who have been scammed and sent this also, but the credit card company is saying that they can only get my money back if I return the product and have closed my dispute,. I have also rung the company several times who keep promising to give me half my money back but nothing has been refunded yet. Does anyone have their address please I am happy to pay and send the creams back I have not used it. at lease if I get most of my money back something better than nothing. I am also reporting to the trading standards and BBC rip off Britain.

      • I am afraid you won’t get any money back. I was scammed with another product Keytone which was supposedly a slimming aid. The pills were useless but anyway it was the same con-trick and after weeks of complaining to my bank I didn’t get a penny back. I think this must be the same people as I had 2 x £89.95 taken out of my account.

  2. I too have succumbed to this scam and thought I was ordering a trial £3.95 sample but received products that were too large to be sample or trial size with no shipping notice or information – I then find I have been charged £89.95. I am contacting the company direct to cancel my order – a salutary lesson on reading Terms and Conditions carefully before payment.

I to ordered trial , paid postage, then 2 weeks later they took nearly £90.00 out of my bank account.went into Barclays Bank they were very helpful , they stopped any more money going to them and I will cancel it myself. B——-. Shouldn’t there be a body of some sort that eakes out scammers like this, and then strings them up by there whatnots. I bet a lot of elderly ladies have been caught out with this, and they won’t know what to do. Ladies go to your bank and get them to stop the money going out . They can they did it for me. Good luck

When I called the company the girl on the other end was rude and dismissive and put the phone down on me.
Also there are no ingredients listed on either the eye serum or face cream so they could be anything.

I haven’t had chance to trial it for 14 days as I only got it on Thursday last. My bank could not help as the money had been taken this morning. I phoned the company and they offered me 50% refund, but I am still not happy. This product is aimed at older people who cannot afford it . I Did not receive any emails and the invoice did not tell me what I was paying. I am going to email to see if I can get the rest of my money the company.

  11. Hi all,
My partner has unfortunately been caught out with this via Facebook. Initially she paid £3,95 but £2.50 then 14 days later £89.95 was taken, a further £89.95 30 days later plus an attempt this week which has been refunded, but only by subsequently changing bank accounts.

The problem is & it’s very clever, but deceiving in my view; in order to proceed with the trial & spend your initial £3,95 you’re required to click the ‘Buy Now’ button. In doing so, you agree to their terms & conditions, which, signs you up to a 14 day trial and unless you cancel within 14 days, automatically enrolls the buyer into a rolling commitment of £89.95 every 30 days. The T&Cs are at the bottom of the webpage and it is only in among this wording is the actual deal laid out. In order to cancel the, in effect, subscription the buyer must ring the company’s 0800 telephone number.

Please be warned and please, by all means, share my findings as much as possible.

  12. Stupidly I feel for this scam just like all the readers above. ..I got charged two lots of £3,95 +£1.50 ..I only ordered the face cream but for sent the eye serum aswell hence the second lot of £3.95 being charged and not sure what the £1.50 was for as it was suppose to be free delivery. ..I looked up about the offer and read many reviews about it being a SCAM. …I Straight away phoned my bank to stop any further payments… Sadly these people have a trick up their sleeve they use another company name to take the £89.95 payments so my bank didn’t stop the two payments of £89.95 going out of my bank… The payments both went out on the same day…I was in holiday so it ruined my holiday as it left me overdrawn in my bank… The bank have been very helpful and I’m just waiting for some paper work to fill out and the banks fraud team are going to investigate and I’m hopefully going to get my money back…I had my original card blocked and the bank have sent me a new card…I feel so stupid that I have been caught out by SCAMMERS and I now warn as many people as I can about buying this cream :-(:-(:-(

    • I might be what is classed as ‘elderly’ (73) but I certainly have all my marbles (I am a Councillor and I sit on various Boards and no-one has complained of me non compos mentis!) I, too, saw this ‘Free’ offer and although I would not use it myself as I only buy my products from my Beauty Salon (Clarins) I thought I could pass it on to someone who could use something for ”Free’. Imagine my shock when I received my monthly bank statement yesterday to find 2 x payments of £89.95 dated 24th August (but which appeared after an item purchased on 25th!) plus 2 x payments of £3.95 on 10th August and 2 x payments of £1.50 (dated 25th August within the body of the entry but 26th August under the ‘items’ date. I immediately rang Barclays (they are open until 11pm) and explained the situation. They were very helpful and immediately put a stop on any more payments being taken. They refunded the 2 x £3.95 and the 2 x £1,50 and said they would open a dispute with the company to get my money back but advised that it would be quicker if i rang them myself.
So I looked them up on the internet to find there is an o800 number (which I rang and was eventually answered by a man with an American accent who explained the terms were in the ‘terms & conditions’ (but it is not easily seen!) and I know I never signed up for the additional 2 x £1.50 payments and I had not received anything anyway! He said it is due for delivery today and I should ‘return to sender’ and the 2 x £89.95 would be refunded to me. He did not argue with me – obviously it was not him who thought up this ‘scam’ so I was very polite and he could obviously appreciate that I was not someone to try to intimidate (I am used to speaking at Council – and, previously, at Board Meetings!).

So we will see what happens – at least I have my bank on my side!

The operator asked me why I wanted to cancel and I told her I believed it was a scam. There was no response from her. I asked for an email to confirm my cancellation which she said she would do? 29. I used to work for Trading standards uk.

If you are being scammed (ie money being removed from your bank account or credit card without your consent) first of all CALL YOUR BANK OR CARD PROVIDER. Get them to cancel the card which will hopefully stop any more payments being deducted.

Also contact trading standards to report it. Don’t use social media to complain, the company pages aren’t monitored.

Make a court small claims action against them for mis Selling .

Good luck! Now go cancel t he card you used, it might be a few days till you get a new one, but at least the payments will be blocked. Above

all….if it seems too good to be true, it usually is!

Called to query the 2nd pot of product which has just arrived – 0800 909 2492 – spoke to a customer advisor in the US who explained a month’s worth of product is sent out when you sign up for the trial. The 14 day free trial period (can’t recall seeing that anywhere) starts from the day you order – the cream took 10 days to arrive, so based on that I would be having a 4 day trial. If you do not cancel within the 14 days YOU WILL BE CHARGED £89.95, and the same again monthly until you cancel. I have got agreement to return the 2nd unopened pot of cream for a full refund, but am out of pocket by £89.85. DO NOT GET DRAWN IN. Have yet to find out how much it will cost to return to Cyprus, of all places. GRRRR

  36. I also fell for this scam! I applied for the trial product and was charged £3.95 twice and £1.90. The cream and eye serum only arrived yesterday 2 September lunch time, which I had to sign for. I noticed on my Barclays account around 4pm that two lots of money of £89.95 to HYSkin where taken out at the same time, why did Barclays not noticed this as being odd, if it was one payment of £179.90 it could look normal but not one after the other at the same amount. I phoned my bank and explained what happened and they are sending form out for me to fill in, I also asked them to cancel my visa debit card even though they said they would block this merchant, I still was adamant that I wanted my card cancelled. The bank told me to ring them and ask for a refund, the bank gave me a number to call 0800 9098296 which I did and when I explain to the man he got quite nasty and said I would need to get my bank to call them! Can’t believe I fell for this, this is the first time for me and what a lesson I have learnt. Don’t know if I will get my money back could take up to 3 months the bank said.So angry at myself for bing so stupid and falling for this.

  37. Hi everyone we need to get together and get the government to do something to stop money been drawn out by these companies. Placeing an order on the banks to these companies taking money with deceitfulness of such fraudelent companies ITS SOMETHING THAT MUST BE DONE. There are so many many many complaints of people loosing money to no products whatsoever, not just here but everywhere, yet having to pay for thin air i.e sweet nothing. The banks know that its not the customer fault, that we and so many have and are being deceived day in and day out, YET, the banks continue to allow their poor customers being drained of their money, saying that its a legal agreement. There is no human being who likes to be robbed this way and agree to it to be so with a so called agreement not seen anywhere on their site that says; By the way we will begin to draw monies from your account after so many days, and we will not send you anything either, and the banks that allow such things to continue instead of stopping it, are much at fault as these companies are, for the banks, due to so many complaints, are unquestionably aware of its tactics, yet they allow it to continue to go on to all their customers. we have a right to complain to the right bodies, that banks ought to look after their customers and not allow THIEVES to steal their money’s in this manner, by putting the blame on the customer. It is a true let down that the government had to be asked to put a stop to our banks for the payments to be stopped and to know that banks were unwilling to help their customers in the first place since November 2009. Its like going to fix a leaking tap in a house, as a plumber, take the money and only partially fix the leak and then say i need further payments in my bank before i can return when i decide to do so and put a stop to the leak, by for now. We need to sign a petition written/drawn by a legal person and sent it to our governing bodies to do something with our banks to be no longer so passive because at the end of the day not only its not their money but they fail to protect their customers assets from such companies, therefore breaking their duties over us trusting them with our savings..

  40. Total scam me like the others paid £3.95 for trial pot…the cream arrived 16 days later!! How convenient when you have 14 days to cancel!!
I also had a email 4 days before any money went out of my bank stating my account is closed and no further money would be taken!!
Surprise this morning £89.45 was taken from my bank,I rang customer service to speak to a very cocky American I told him in no uncertain terms what a scam his company was and I’d be reporting him to trading standards
Also in the small print at the bottom it says photos and results are fictious!!
I shouted at him and in the end they agreed to put half back in it will be in your account in 5 mins madam!! 5 hours later no money still that didn’t surprise me
Also be aware the company uses 4 different names which my bank told me when I rang them…would I pay £100 for a jar of useless cream you just have the cocky American said!!

    • Dear Jane, do you remember by any chance what the names under which this company collects the money? I fell for this, too and I need to warn my bank as well. they are dealing with it currently, I warned them about the fact that there might be other names under which they appear but it would be better if I can tell them what to block exactly. Your help will be much appreciated!

  41. Hi,
I haven’t fallen for this – been there/donethat/got the T shirt. About 4 years ago I signed up to a similar “free trial” and it took me 18 months to finally sort it out. Barclays were very good about refunding each payment (but each month I had to fill in a hard copy claim form and post off to them certifying I hadn’t authorised payments) and unlike a direct debit from your bank account, a recurring debit card payment is very hard to stop. They just keep re-submitting it and in the end, Barclays had to cancel my card and give me one with a new number so the company couldn’t re-submit.
Out of curiosity, has anyone actually used this new product and could report where it is any good?
    thanks

  42. I orderered this cream 4th Sep but after reading reviews on this site I phoned the company on the 5th September , it took a while to get through but eventually an American guy answered I had to keep insisting that I wanted to cancel my account /order with them which eventually he agreed to do but told me the cream had been shipped and I would have to return ithus pay the postage ! I find this odd as I’ve paid for the cream ie 14 day trial! After speaking to the American guy I quickly phoned my bank and cancelled my card which I had made my payment on to ensure they are unable to take any further money out of my account. I would just like to say thanks to this site and all the people that have made comments . I will be keeping a close eye on my bank account!!

I bought my so called “trial” products on August 30th. The offer popped up after I had completed an M and S survey .
But I couldn’t stop or chsnge the payment of £7.00 they claimed to have taken as I only wanted trial price of £3.95.
I received the products which had to be signed for by 8th Sept.
But immediately after placing the order I emailed them for a refund and cancellation. Then on
31st I rang the number to ask for the same. I received an email confirming my account has been cancelled and that no more orders will be sent .
I don’t know if this mail is legitimate after reading your complaints . I think it’s best to cancel bank cards just incase .
They actually took £7.90! I really hope no other charges will be taken .
I think it’s worth contacting the fraud team too.
I don’t think I need to return the products as they didn’t charge me what I thought they were going to !

I’m going to call their number on Monday and try and cancel any further payments – total ripoff and will not pay a penny more. Was anyone successful with cancelling? This is the first and last time hopefully I will fall for a scam. Really angry and such a loss of money for absolutely nothing gained.

  47. Good morning everyone. My name is Christopher n’tBambury from the UK. In july of this year I requested a free sample for HyrodPlennage Muscel max. In August of this year your company has taken a Total amount of £191.98 from my account. I phoned my bank fraud squad and was told to call your company and the Gentlemen Cancelled my account so no more money taken out of my account. but the day after that your company took another £68.99 out of my account. This Gentleman said he requested a refund for me, it would take 10 working days. I’ve waiting for a month now. Now is September 19th 2016, I phoned my fraud squad again today, they said to get in-touch with your company again. the Gentleman said he couldn’t understand why I hadn’t received my refund of £ 191.98. and he would request a second refund for me. I need conformation that you will refund me straight away because my fraud squad will do a investigation against your company. So please I am asking nicely if you could respond to my email: ChrisBambury@mail.com please. I am disabled and can not afford the money you have taken from me. Thankyou for your attention.
    Yours sincerely.
    Mr Christopher S Bambury.

  48. we completed a Boots survey and then were given the risk free trial offer. Never received anything but noticed £89.95×2 had been deducted. Checked with bank who told us a further £89.95 x2 had been deducted in September. Nationwide employee reported this scam to office and assured us that money would be refunded with 10 days. They also barred any further deductions . This is such an illegal scam and the UK Company should be prosecuted.
I will push for that to happen.

Called the anti fraud dept. of my bank, they advised me to close my debit Visa and get a new card, after that they put me through the dispute dept. and they refunded the whole amount to my account and blocked this company from being able to take any further payments. Thnks to HSBC I got my money back, they are great and really care about their customers,

They have put a block on further payments but not sure at the moment whether I will get the first £89.95 back, I feel quite sick, this is the last time I wil ever order anything like this again. 56. Hello, everyone!

I fell for it, too. I regularly read the Curejoy.com website and they have nice recommendations for health and beauty. So, there was an article about this cream and I though the trial is ok pricewise and signed up for it. I thank God for giving me the wisdom to check reviews and comments. I came across this page and read all of the above comments! I felt really gutted… I called the customer phone line and I talked to an American guy…I think his name was Russel. He took 5 mins to just log in to the system. As far as I know, 0800 are free of charge, but I’m not sure any more what these idiots might charge me for calling them. He cancelled the trial and subscription….or at least so he said. Yes, he tried to tell me to wait till the products arrive and I test them, I said no. Then I was not feeling good about the whole thing, asked my boyfriend to call them and check for me. He called and said the conversation might be recorded. the guy logged in for like 20 secs!!!! Then he checked and said it was cancelled. I tried to call Barcalys, but they don’t have anyone on Sundays, so I logged on my app and chatted to a person of staff, a very kind and helpful lady – Alyssa. She checked and said I do have a long-standing order and will cancel and block it. Now, obviously, after reading all the comments, I’m still not in peace. I will call again the frauds today to tell them I have not yet received any confirmation e-mail regarding my cancellation. In fact, I will record the conversation. I will go to Barclays tomorrow and will ask them to cancel my card and will write to the BBC’s Rip Off Britain. I will update as soon as I can. All this happened today, so I basically ordered and cancelled within 10 mins and contacted my bank within an hour, so I am taking all measures. This is the first and last time I do such an irresponsible purchase! Don’t be scammed, check all info before you hit the buy now button. I checked the company’s website and apparently it is mentioned in the terms and conditions, to which you AGREE by purchasing the trial products, that they will charge you monthly payments till you cancel. I agree they must be prosecuted!

  57. Update:

I just called the company again. A lady called Katie spoke to me, rather rudely, and asked me about my name, post code and then for “security purposes” my exact address. I said I thought they must have already detected my details, then she said she will have to hang up because she was not willing to lose her job due to dealing with people who misrepresent themselves… huh… once we all report them she will lose it eventually, I’m afraid. Anyway, I gave her my exact address and she said my subscription was cancelled today. I’m going to my bank tomorrow and will ask for change of card. I do not trust them. I also read extensively on the topic and it seems that we all must request the bank to stop the CPA they place on us after agreeing with the terms and conditions and we must at all cost call to cancel the agreement! I’m still waiting for an e-mail confirmation. Katie said it will be sent to me within 24 working hrs. Interesting how they have places a long-standing order and sent me the product…or so they said in the morning and can’t send me an e-mail as quick!!! Will update if anything new comes up. I hope this is helpful.

U keep saying contact them, i did but they wont refund. This bery rude Katie asked me if i filed for dispute with bank, i said no, then she said i can not be refunded. Then i said i will file for dispute then, and i was told if i file a dispute they will not refund me still. So what they mean is, they will just not refund no matter. They she hanged up the phone when i was trying to get an explanation why they wont refund and wgat’s the poimt of asking wether or not i filed a dispute if they are not refunding anyway.
People work hard for their money! And all u could do is con us!!!!

  62. Please be aware the bank will refund you and then will challenge the company, but if the company can prove it is a genuine transaction..ie you requested the sample as we all did, the bank will want their money back..

They have took £369.20 from me. I have cancelled my repeat prescription by ringing 08009098294, when I asked about getting refunded because they took 2 lots of £89 out before I even received the sample…how does that work….the 14 days was up before I received the product… the bank said they would not let them take anymore money, but failed and they took two more lots, their error so I stand to.lose £189.00 and the bank will lose the rest because they failed to block it after I instructed them to. (I think scrapping my debit card and ordering a new one as a few have stated was the wise thing to do)

You have to email contactus@hhb-marketing.com to request a refund, which I’ve done, sent 2 emails heard nothing so I rang the 0800 number again and they said it can take up to 10 working days to respond… so I have to wait and ring back then. So because in their terms it states you agree to receiving the products and being charged and if you don’t cancel within 14 days…they get away with robbing us all of all this money…a very underhand way of working, i sent the sample back at my cost plus will probably lose £189 and have nothing to show for it… but going back to my opening statement the bank may well refund you but they will probably take the money back off you when this company proves you agreed to have the sample and their very dodgy terms.

I wish you all the best of luck in getting your money back…I think we will need it from what I’ve heard on here.

  63. Do not fall for this, they have taken over £500 from my account without my permission,i rang the 0800 number and spoke to “Eric” who said he’d cancel the account and request a refund, he said the company is based in Cyprus and that he was on the east coast …it’s a big fat scam, he said I’d get a refund and it would take between one week and five. He said one woman had 4 payments of 89.95 taken out in one day. I reported fraud to my bank, cancelled card, filled in 20 minute report to action fraud a site run by metropolitan police, I have told numerous friends to post warnings on Facebook, I saw advert through Christie e Brinkley on Pinterest so I’ll be writing to them and anyone else who has promoted this company, I have sent 2 emails so far (I discovered this 2 days ago) to the email address I am not convinced the address isn’t on a loop that sends it back to me. It’s disgusting. Thanks I’ll let rip off Britain know too, spread the word and let’s put them out of business for good

  65. I signed up for the free trial….the advert appeared on the Cotton Traders website.
This was in September…..like many I didn’t appreciate the frequency of deliveries and was very surprised at the first £89 debit from my bank account.
Since then…….I’ve now received 6 deliveries in total – for 3 months…!!!! the last delivery contained 3 x creams and 3 x eye serum.
I have called the customer (spoke to an American lady) who was quite pushy and eventually said that they didn’t accept returns and that he would ask Head Office to call me about a refund…so far nothing.
My Bank have been very understanding and are working with me to get my money back.
To all that read this, avoid this scam like the plague.
